didnt they also say that the corsa is more composed through the corners whereas the clio wanted to let the back end loose?? From that video I would say the corsa handles better. Doesnt it have 10bhp less aswell?

Not exactly what I meant but alright!

Basically the Cup started going downhill after the 172.

172 Cup Minus = ABS, Air-Con, Thinner glass, leather, xenons, few other things
182 Cup Minus = leather, xenons, climate, bout it!
197 Cup Minus = body coloured side strips + door mirrors, electric door mirrors.

All just seems a bit of a joke to the name Cup really.

I think it's got more about saving cost than cutting weight.

I'd be willing to bet it'll be quicker round a track than both previous cups too.

The Clio won because it was the most fun car they drove. The VXR was obviously quickest but not as much fun.

I picked up the mag today and all the comments leveled at it in the write up are pretty much spot on. Even the fact the brakes snatch a little when used in normal driving, something I mentioned to one of my mates at Renault UK the other week.

The comments in the mag are even better than the comments in the video.
