2 kicker square subs

im lookin at buyin two square kicker subs but i dont know what size to go for? 2 10s or 2 12s i listen to a lot of garage in my car and some hip hop. i currently got 2 diamond m3 12s and sometimes they dont seem to give the bass out aswell as i think they could. should i go for 10s u think or maybe even 8s!? gonna be lookin at buying two, how much u think they gonna cost me? any help greatly appreciated

id prob go for the 2 12s to get that low down bass!

go for 2 12" JL w2D3 subs they are sooo nice.



also what amp u running cos u will need summit pretty good to run the kickers or the JLs

u will need atleast 2x 250 watt rms @2ohm

Your gonna need more than 250rms for the kicker subs.

Ive 900rms going into my twelve and it drops pure low that it actually moves the rear shelf in my car so much that i have to take it out cause of the noise it makes when rattling.

As for powering them - 2x Directed Audio 1100d monoblock Amps

2x12 kickers = 2x15 normal subs

go for 2x10

3 is too much for a clio it will sound wrong

what bout 3 8s? how big were those kickers in the v6 at r-tec tom u know?

3x8 would be fantastic really punchy

they were 10s it think

plus you know nobody has ever done 3x8 squares

with an amp its easy simply match up rms power ratings

1 1100d should do it but watch the ohms!!

gonna have to play with my current install i think, get it so that all u can see is the subs and then maybe do sumthin similair to u tom and sink my amp. how much are the 8s? gotta get rid of my other stuff first, alpine digital amp, 2 alpine type s 12s and 2 diamond m3 12s any offers (possibly)? lol

my mate has 3 12" JL w3s running off 3 alpine amps and that hits hard infact it almost takes the air out of your lungs and that works nice in a clio,

i woudlnt go for the solobarics, they were built for the spl scene and the sound quality is comprimised, like mentioned b4 go for the JL W series, awesome subs and ive seen a single 12 W0 we set up hit 138 bd clear as u like which is impressive

I have two SQ-cp series hifonics 10inch subs

and they were running off a 2400x1 amp (it overheated again and again)

when it was set up it was impossible to sit in the car at full chat and i cracked a windscreen!!!

never got a chance to get it measured because the amp kept over heating and had to go back to the states
