2003 clio2 1.2L sequential (robotic) gearbox re-programming

Hello all,

I need to reprogram a 2003 clio 2 sequential gearbox after the robotic clutch cable snapped while driving and was replaced. Currently it seems that the robotic mechanism is out of alignment (i.e. there is a discrepancy between what gear the robotic gearbox ECU thinks it's in, as also displayed on the dash, and what it is for real).
The Gear seems to be stuck in 3rd, though while playing with CAN CLIP commands I managed to move it to Neutral and start the engine (while applying brakes as required) but the wheels turn so it's still stuck in gear.
I found this gear's service manual (MR392CLIO2.PDF) and read this quote:
"II - FINAL OPERATION.
a Carry out the necessary programming (see Fault
finding - Replacement of components) (MR 394,
21B, Sequential gearbox).

So obviously the robotic ECU needs to be re-programmed and the system re-calibrated.
Problem is that I can't find the MR394 diagnostics manual. Can anyone help me find this document or provide the required programming instructions?
The markings on the gearbox are as follows:
JH1 004
C 000854

Engine code is D4F.
Thanks and cheers!

COMPUTER - (RE)PROGRAMMING

21B

A) Switch on the ignition.

B) Clear all programming using commands:
– RZ002 Programming,
– RZ003 Program biting point,
– RZ008 Initial closed position of clutch,
– RZ001 Stored fault(s).
Exit fault finding mode and switch off the ignition.
Wait 1 minute and then re-establish dialogue with the computer.

C) Rehabilitate the hydraulic unit using command AC007 Hydraulic unit pump rehabilitation.
Check that PR145 Engine coolant temperature is below 50 ˚C. Start the engine with the handbrake
applied.
Gearbox in neutral and no faults in the solenoid valves or master slave sensors. Carry out
automatic programming of the clutch end of travel using command VP017 Program clutch closed
position. Check that programming has been successful by referring to the following statuses:
– ET064 Clutch position programming displays DONE. Repeat procedure C if not done.

D) Program the gears with command VP008 Program selection/engagement ranges.
Wait for the procedure to end.
Exit fault finding mode and switch off the ignition.
Wait 1 minute and then re-establish dialogue with the computer.
Check that programming has been successful by referring to the following statuses:
– ET061 Gear programming displays DONE.
Brake and select all the gears in the gearbox, while checking that they are recognised on the
display. Repeat procedure D if not done.

E) Program the vehicle identification number code with command VP001 Enter VIN. Wait for the
procedure to end.

F) Put the gearbox in neutral.
Start the engine.
Wait 10 seconds without changing gear (to program the clutch biting point). Check that the
programming has been successful by referring to the following statuses:
– ET062 Biting point programming displays DONE,
– ET063 Solenoid valve zero point programming displays DONE. If NOT DONE, repeat procedure F.

G) Check that the PR145 Engine coolant temperature is above 60 ˚C and that the PR095 Clutch
temperature is below 130 ˚C.
Repeat starting at half-load 4 or 5 times to program the clutch progressivity. Exit fault finding
mode and switch off the ignition.
Wait 1 minute and then re-establish dialogue with the computer.
Check that programming has been successfully completed by referring to the following status:
– ET065 Progressivity programming displays DONE.
Repeat procedure G if status ET065 Progressivity programming displays NOT DONE.

H) Enter the clutch replacement date using command VP013 Enter new clutch fitting date.
Check the entry by Reading new clutch fitting date in the Computer identification screen. Repeat
the procedure if unsuccessful.

I) Enter the last After-Sales operation date using command VP009 Enter last After-Sales
operation date.
Check the entry using Read last After-Sales operation date in the Computer identification screen
Repeat the procedure if unsuccessful.

J) Exit fault finding mode and switch off the ignition.
Wait 1 minute and then re-establish dialogue with the computer.

K) Check the faults and clear the computer fault memory (some faults are stored when the command
modes are used) or deal with the present faults.

L) Carry out a road test followed by another check with the diagnostic tool.

Thanks Mate, you're the greatest...
Problem is that I can't find in my V99 CAN CLIP s/w gearbox menu commands such as RZ002, RZ003, RZ008, RZ001, VP017 and some of the commands have slightly different names (e.g. ET062 "Biting point programming" is named in my s/w "programme slip point" but that seems like a minor issue).
Maybe that's because some of my command mode menus are grayed out (such as the CONFIGURATION sub-menu)?
Or maybe the clear programming options reside in the command mode's ERASING sub menu? (will check that when I'm back in the car).
Also, I don't know how relevant is MK3 to my gearbox. If it helps, my car's VIN is VF1-BB0W0H30062936

It's the wrong manual and the wrong procedure, hence why I mentioned it. Will have to have a look through the mk2 ones but I don't know if they cover the qs5 box in detail.
