2003 Megane Alloys On A 2001 Clio

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
hi, as above really just wondering if the stud fitment etc will be correct for these alloys to go on my clio. the tyre size is currently 205 55 16 which i know wont fit which is a shame as the tyres are all fairly decent. which brings me to my next question, what is the best size tyre to go for and what sorta price am i looking at per corner for them?

gettin a bargain on the alloys though 4xwheels and 7 tyres lol £125

ta, russ

they'll fit. A clio round here has some of the 17's on sprayed black looks the nuts :) (not sure if he has had any arch work done)

yeah - just read the thread through and its just made sense lol. 45profile would be better for your arches as it would maintain the original rolling radius. 55 should fit tho, but would just look a lil odd

edit: hate it when someone puts a comment whilst im writing mine lol

Quite possibly - you can use wheel spacers to get around it.

Also you might need longer wheel bolts if you don't want the wheel to fall off!

any chance of posting the individual links to the photos, as the link you've posted never seems to work. (clicked on it a couple of time now, but is prob my computer)

looks like it clears the shocks ok from the pics you've posted. i had a similar problem when fitting my latest wheels, basically due to the fact i guessed the offset. the easiest way to work out what spacer you need imo is to jack the car up using a trolley jack, similar to what you've done here:

then lower the car down reallly slowly. you can then hold something straight up against the wheel - like a ruler - to see where it will sit in the arch.

you can then work out if you've got any room to play with, and what sort of size you'll need. would be more accurate with a tyre on tho lol

lol couple of tyres will be on the wheels later this week hopefully so i can get a better idea then. im in a dilema....do i wait till next month when i can afford all 4 tyres (possibly get a discount on them) or get sum this and some next month. they wont be on till the cars lowered anyway.

you ever used hotlane tyres middo?

that the one in burslem? cant say ive ever been there myself.

i normally use saxon tyres in biddulph (my local lol) but when my tyres are due, will probably get them from somewhere like mytyres, or blackcircles, and then get them to fit them. last time i checked it worked out much cheaper.

id stick to buying 4 at a time :)

roughly how much you payin for fitting?

duno a lad name tom young do u, hes from biddulph, hes either 18 or 19 so similar age to u.

  Chocolate Bar™
nah cant say ive heard of him.

about 25quid for 4 tyres fitted and balanced. cash of cause ;)

dont mind payin it, as they're always doing little bits and bobs for free, so cant complain :)
