You just need a good base model and go from there! Takes a few weeks/months to get what where you want it to go!

+1. Don't buy one for the nice added bits. Buy a solid base and go from there. Keep an eye on m3cutters, few cars recently up with decent history of subframe etc.

I don't hate it but I just look at the o/s/f and it just looks like a cheap chinese bumper BUT I do like the n/s/f with the induction hole.

I agree, it is the only thing that bugs me on the otherwise perfect m3

Actually i would prefer manual but minor details

Function over aesthetics. But yes, I know exactly what you mean. But when you see a genuine CSL on the road, it looks so right, and the bumper is one thing that separates it from a normal M3. Shame I had to copy it rather than having a proper CSL, but I didn't have £30k to spend 😂 :weary:

Is it on coilovers? Does look to have a very small touch of reverse rake going on.

It's on BC-R coilovers, Tom. Set-up by Greta Bodyworks Hunter system, and it's lined perfect.
The E46 M3 sits 5-10mm lower on the back than the front, standard

I'm fancying some Koni adjustables for mine. And a supersprint. And a new headunit. And new seats. Etc

Been an expensive couple of months; Supersprint Race exhaust, New Ignition Coils, MB Quart Speakers, GPS Antenna, OEM Headlight lenses, Extended Brushed SMG Paddles and complete Porsche 911 front big brake upgrade (calipers painted Atacama yellow) on CSL discs.

I don't like this car. It always makes me look at Pistonheads classified which in turn brings on a wave of disappointment because all the cars are dogs in comparison....

Mine was standard apart from the CSL alloys when I bought it. The coilovers and spacers transformed the look of the car, as you can see from page 1. It would be the same with any M3, I think. Just need the right mods. Some folk like standard better, but I wanted it to look more aggressive.

Brakes look great, I don't get it though  Is Porsche brakes a thing now on BMW's ?

Very popular conversion yeah. Just need the custom brackets and calipers really. Then pads, sensors and shims 😂

Contact area on disc is much greater.

Love the calliper colour and lettering. Gives an aura of "serious business".

That was kinda my thinking too. Like the VW scene where they use the Gallardo/Murcielago calipers and retain the Lambo lettering, or the Aston Martin conversion. Didn't want plain calipers looking like they'd just been a rattle can job, and didn't want Brembo (which the Porsche calipers are anyway). Cost me enough money, so wanted them to look good.
