If you're going to fork out on a RS2 and mapping with it being a fun car I see no reason not to go all the way with ITBs. No compromise solution to more power.
A used RS2 inlet + mapping is going to be around £1300-1500. Used ITBs and ECU can be had for around the same, then set aside £300 for mapping. More power, more torque, more noise.
Advantages to Bodies versus RS2:
Noisier (sounds epic)
Will make more power
Anywhere good at mapping can map it (depending on what ECU you go for, not if you are silly enough to buy an ECU that is restricted in this respected like the Ktec one)
Advantages to RS2 versus Bodies:
Can keep cruise (or fit it if you dont have it)
Can keep aircon
Economy will be marginally better
Cold start etc is as per standard still
No lights on dashboard etc
Quieter (wont get pinged for noise at tracks which in some places can be an issue on bodies, although thankfully very few, bedford is the only one that springs to mind currently although things are getting worse elsewhere too)
So basically the ITBs are ultimately better for power, but the RS2 has no compromise on functionality like aircon etc.
Careful with who you get to map the RS2, Ktec have openly admitted on this forum they are incapable of getting decent results on it for example.
The only people I would recommend are MWM or Rs Tuning. With MWM being the preferred mapper of Stone Automotive who makes the RS2 itself.
With the bodies you can take it to any decent aftermarket mapper near you though, so a lot easier in that respect.
Personally if its a road car mainly I would probably go RS2, if its a trackday toy though then it would ITBs for me personally.
