200bhp N/A 172's?

Hi all,

Just wondering really as am considering a 172.

How many people (if any - if even possible) have 200bhp at the fly Clio's?

What sort of mods would be involved?

I trust same as all cars apply? - CAI, Inlet Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Decat, new Exhaust, remap? But I think that would be sub 200 - maybe in the region of 195 or something? Can anyone tell me different of if there is a Clio specific mod which people always go for?

Edit - Obviously being N/A it doesnt wanna be getting Supercharged or Turboe'd

I'm pretty sure the Ragnotti Grp N has over 200 hp. Grp N cams, orbisound exhaust, altered inlet, some fiddling with the cilinderhead and a remap will get you there, I assume.

Whats the sort of average for modded 172's here then?

Is there an easy upgrade from 172 > 182 > 197?

cams is required for the breach of 200Bhp.

195 is possible with the basics, Inlets, breating, exhausts, Remap.

There a few on about 200hp+ on here usually people have throttle bodies but it cna be done on stock manifold(abeitly reworked).

A good set of cams manifold work exhaust induction kit and remap and your about 195 head work and you'll be about 210.

Damn, I was hoping they were stronger than that!

Still its not bad with then being light. I enjoyed our lasses old Clio, that was a 2000 1.4 and it handled well and wasnt too sluggish.

til friday night mine was running 196bhp/181lbft (172 mk2) with billet cams, headwork, inlets, larger injectors, viper, 2.5" full exhaust & smt6. no tuning option is cheap with the rs.
