does any1 know if i can put a megane 225 motor and box with limited slip in my 52 plate clio ? also if got a current problem, its a ruble noise comong from the ns of te car when accelarating hard in 1st and 2nd at high rmp???

IIRC it will go in - some say with a bit of work and I think I've read without. Have a search on here mate, this has been covered a few times and you should find the answers!

First off, the 225 doesnt have LSD, thats the R26 engine (230ps).

The engine will fit, but the box wont.

I believe that the engine with the original 1*2 box will fit, but then you'll need to have the 1*2 box adapted to fit the new engine, which can be done but will add the cost.

Short of it is, give RS Tuning £4k and supercharge it.

Theres not a great deal of point though, when you can Turbo the Clio F4R and get decent power.

The Fabrication would be pretty big to put the 225 gear in, so just make more sense to turbo/charge the clio engine.

I d like to see someone attempt it though.

Fred on here might know a bit about it... IIRC you have to cut a chunk out of the floorplan to get the gearbox in.

It was years ago now... so I might be making things up.

You got no chance fitting a 225 engine into a clio if you couldnt even figure out how to swap the clio one over to the same engine, idiot imo
