40mm drop kit recommendations

howdy, follwing the rolling road, i was rannly alarmed as how high my mk2 was compared to well every thing else. Ive spoken to my insuered ans they said up to a 50mm drop is only £45 extra. can any one recommend a decent spring damper combo, for a 40mm drop, one my ass in the car it'll be more like 60 but hey.
the shocks are standard one with aboutl 28k under them would i be best changing them or could they take the droppage.

Also what sort of price am i looking.

hi there from what i have been told up 2 and including 40mm drops are achievable on standard shocks, people drop there cars 60mm on standard shocks and dont have a problem mines been lowered 50 mm on standard shocks and has a nice ride so i would say youd be orite as for decent spring kits on y first clio which was lowered 40mm i used some apex's which were a really nice spring very comfy but firm and handled brilliant hope that helps

Apex do a kit, both 40mm and 60mm.

K-tec sell them, £250 odd quid IIRC, mind you do get a 5% discount
