Looks great now mate! Link to the one you got?A quick trip to Ikea and I was finally able to setup the TV and sound system properly. An hour or two was spent tweaking the settings to my liking and I'm absolutely over the moon with it. I've literally become a couch potato overnight...

Please forgive my stupidity (it is Monday after all) but are you wanting a link to the tv, soundbar, Ikea furniture or the lot?! LOL! 😊 I'm not quite with it today...

How do you find the soundbar anyway? My current amp has given up the ghost so Im not sure wheter to buy a traditional 2.1 hifi setup or a sound bar
I just bought this one which only a few quid more for 55"
You're welcome mate and thank you. There's a good range of soundbars to choose from these days so I would definitely recommend reading around a few different AV forums and then trying to experience firsthand one or two units that you are potentially interested in.Appreciate the detailed response there Sharky!
Checking out the reviews of that sound bar and it looks to be the best of the bunch and, and like you said, cost a bit more that what you might expect a soundbar to cost. Im not sure if I could bring myself to spending that much on one though! I think ill check out the reviews of the lower end samsung / yamaha ones.
Your setup looks ace by the way!
Hi mate - sadly I haven't come across any settings for that specific set and the panel it uses. Sorry! That said, it's a good tv for the price. However, if you are after impressive HDR as well as decent 4K UHD then you might want to stretch the budget a bit if you can; tests have found it to max out at around 360 nits (a lot of HDR content is mastered around the 1000 nits mark) hence it isn't particularly effective on this Sony. My Samsung, in contrast (no pun intended), reaches up to 1500 nits for HDR peak level (although, admittedly, that's a lot of what you're paying for with the more expensive sets). Something like the Samsung MU7000 is a good option but you're probably looking at another 200 quid on top of the item you listed.I know some of you frequent the AV Forums. @SharkyUK maybe.
Is there any chance someone could get me the proper picture settings for this tv please.

I just read a bunch of this thread and it's safe to say I know the exact same or less than I did before I looked. Default settings it is then 😂

If you have a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X (capable of HDR gaming) or you want to experience HDR then definitely go for the MU7000. It has a 10-bit panel (55" and above) as opposed to the 8-bit in the 6400. That said, the difference will not be massive between the two for HDR. The 7000 also has the better panel, higher refresh and more advanced dynamic colour tech and is superior across the board. Personally I'd stretch the little extra for the 7000.55" Led TV, budget of £500-£800 max.
Will i notice any difference between the Samsung MU6400 and MU7000? (At £629 and 799 respectively)
Both get excellent reviews. It seems that the 7000 has a faster refresh rate and different stand? I'm not keen on LG as they use glossy screens which seem to reflect too much light. My current tv is a ten year old 32" Samsung LCD which has been faultless!

At that price point, I would personally favour the Samsung over LG due to the typically lower latency for gaming. LG sets used to have issues with latency but modern sets and firmware mean this is no longer a problem. LG's make great sets and panels but the MU7000 is pretty hard to beat if you want a reasonably priced tv with good all-round features, delivery and performance.Sharky you seem to know your stuff.
Any LG's worth looking at for similar price or stick to the MU7000. Just got an XBOX one x one x one x and not sure what to get.
