4th to 5th shift difficult

Pretend I'm a r****d for a second. I took the car to have a new abs line fitted and since then I've noticed it's hard to go from 4th to 5th sometimes. Is it possible they did something to the gear linkage while taking the subframe off?

Am I right in thinking this is part of the gear linkage, and am I right in thinking the bit with the bolt is on the piss slightly and could be contacting something as I change gear?

That f**king dogbone mount is the wrong way

Swap it around, you want the thicker end of the small side at the top.

Also put the sideways bolt through the other way to give you maximum room for the shift linkage.

That was on there when I bought the car, finally something that's not my fault

Hang on a second, the garage took the subframe off when they did the ABS line, so I guess they put the mount back on the wrong way and knocked the gear linkage while doing it.

That makes sense, right?

They would have removed it yeah.

Whether they put it back on the same way or they are the ones who've fitted it backwards

It'll be hitting either the dogbone or the bolt.
