There was a 1982 Ford Cortina registered on a new prefix plate (04 plate I think but could be wrong) that had been sat in the dealers unregistered for years, its only the year of registration that reflects the plate...not the year a car was made.

Comedy that, but suspect though isnt it. Would like to have a close look at the VINs. Wouldn't expect an 06 to have that much damage on top of the headlights. Only early ones are usually that bad. Not RS door sills, and no sport badge.

Might be wrong but the pic of the wheel close up looks a bit like a brake drum rather than discs (hasn't got shine to it, just looks shitty lol)

Its possible it could have been used at an event and never been registered, There were a handfull of Phase 1 Gti6s that they used to use at silverstone which were never registered untill 99 on a T plate, Those of you who know a bit about 306s will know thats almost 2 years where the phase 2 had been introduced!

Its got a sport rear axle too if you look at the wheel you'l see the caliper

strange as said its got an import feel to it from somewhere like motorpoint, but most of their burnley and derby cars were the 'F*55 ***' livery for the registration. YA is around Yorkshire, bradford way.

Be interesting to see the V5 for it and service book, find out who supplying dealer was.

Not a cup obviously either suspect that with the lack of cruise, its a 2002 built 172.
