A new splitter for my new Flamer!

  A Flamin' Red one
K-Tec delivered my splitter on Monday after I took advantage of their overstock discount, fitted it on my lunch break today and gave the car a wash when I got home!

It's amazing how much it transforms the look of the car - very happy!

Yup. Just mark up the splitter and bottom of the car so that the screw holes line up, drill upwards to make the holes and screw in the self tapers!

I also recieved my cf lip from K-tec today, i am disappointed that you have to drill the cf lip, and the self tappers are crap compared to renaults own self tappers,

Thanks guys :D I've got some new number plates in the post and then gonna get the diamond and bullets done. Black with red lettering, or red with black lettering!?

Very nice mate. Our car's may well end up being identical as I too have a set of 16" 172s in glass black waiting to be put on! Gonna have it lowered on the 17"s first though for a while.

mint lol, well only thing diff from them pics is, back plate now has full size lettering. and the callipers are back on, painted black. got the toyo T1-R's sitting in the garage just waiting on the wheels... im hoping to lower her on some eibach pro's eventually.... can i steal one of your pics btw? id like someone to photoshop me a piccy with the bit under the lower grill done anthracite right down to the cf splitter. think it may look nice

How else would you have it attached!?

they could have pre drilled the lip so marking and fixing would have been easier, i'll be using my old screws as the renault flanges are x3 bigger than k-tec screws

Just bite the bullet! I'd only have spent the money on getting pissed, so why not having something to show for your hard earned cash?!

nice work!.... still not a fan of the CF splitter though, prefer the standard...

OK, now i know this is probably a ridiculous question, given that you fit it with "self-tapping screws", but when you fit the splitter, do you have to use the original holes in the bumper? The reason i ask is that some of them are a bit mangled from where the original splitter was fixed on and was caught by a verge... i assume you can just tap in new holes to fit the splitter??...

If you look under the bumper there are already a series of rivets. The K-Tec C/F splitter is cut in such a way to avoid these rivets when fitting. Just tap in new screws along the sides of those and job's a good'n! Of course, you'll have to drill new holes through the splitter and into the bottom of the bumper to get those self tapping screws in...

Just got a quote from my local Renault.... cheapest he can do the splitter for, all in and just the part, is £128.36!... including a potential discount for a ClioSport member!

It's all about the scrappies. You can pick one up from there usuall for about £20 i think. Have a butchers on Ebay for braking clios and give the depots a ring.

That price is obsurd. It's not even made of CF!
