Advice needed on Brake Replacement Costs

Hi All,

Clio 172 Phase 2 goes in for 60K service (not Renault Dealer). Nothing replaced since new..........

(All costs inc. VAT and labour, all genuine Renault parts)

Service cost = £118

Front Disks and Pads = £155

Rear Disks (inc. bearings) and Pads = £262

**How's this sound for price??**

I've given the bloke the go ahead, cos what can you do?? Just wanna make sure he's not ripping me off.

Brembo or std disc from GSF 60 quid
DS2500 pads 72+vat at DT

So under 150 for the best road set up

Std rear disc inc bearing 140 (i think) from GSF
DS2500 rear pads 44+ vat

Under 190..

If they are fitted prices then not bad really for a dealer.

So the front replacement sounds okay, but the rear seems a bit pricey. These are for whatever is in the book for a 172, so nothing fancy. They're not a dealer by the way, independant renault specialist.

Thanks for the advice guys. I queried them on the rear brakes and they reduced it from £262 to £195.

I Phoned Renault lincoln for the same work quote

Independant Renault Lincoln
service 118 189
front brakes 154 225
rear brakes 195 225

total 467 639

If saved myself exactly 172 quid. Hooray!! Familiar number that though....

The format of that looks crap. The first figure is for the Independant Renault specialists, the second figure is for Renault Dealer
