right, collecting some menzerna polishes soon. intensive and final finish II.

plan of action is required please.

products i was planning to use:

bodywork

menzerna intensive
menzerna final finish II
AG EGP or M-Seal x 2 coats
p21s x 2 or 3 coats

then maybe another coat the next day after a wipe down with some QD.

tools

MF's
PC
application pads
yellow, white and blue pads for PC 4" and 6"

then obv dress tyres and do interior, exhaust etc etc

a process do work in would be nice and what pad to what product etc...

Wash and dry then clay if needed.

Test area with a Polishing Pad with the Final Finish and see what results that gives. If not acceptable Intensive Polish on a polishing pad and see how that goes. If it is still not to your expectations Intensive Polish on a Light Cut pad.

If you have ended up using the IP, follow it with the Final Polish on a Finishing Pad or Polishing.

If would then use the EGP rather than M/seal, apply some SRP on a finishing pad first.

EGP x 2 12 hours apart, then add the P21s 12 hours after that.

final finish first on the white pad yes?
if not strong enough move up to intensive again on a white pad. then over with final finish on a white pad.

then srp. by hand yes?

egp x 2, 12 hrs apart.

p21s 12hrs after that.

i was looking at getting some of the meguiars #16 mirror wax to use before the p21s. good idea?

then the usual of exhaust, tyres, blacks etc etc....

SRO works great by machine polishing or finsihing pad.

EGP by hand.

If your using EGP then P21s I would not bother with the 16 till winter.
 
the 16 a bit harder wearing is it?

ok, i tend to try avoid srp as it flakes too easily but i guess thats coz i use too much.

def egp by hand. almost my fav product alongside p21s.
 
SRP & EGP = autoglym?

super resin & extra gloss?

i've got super resin but didn't think it was that good?!?!
 
Bin that P21 Bragg it's pisch! Cg 50/50 is where it's at! FAR more durable!

Rich would know if he drove his car more ;) lol
 
Revist the SRP by PC and you will be amazed. Even worked correctly by hand it rocks.

Ali I do have a daily drive that covers lots of miles a week! ;)

50/50 is a more durable wax than P21s indeed and looks better on Black, P21s owns it on Blues though!

P21s has always had the edge on bright Metallic Colours for me, the 50/50 on Darker Metallics and Blacks. If it was my car I would probably upgrade to Swissvax Onyx for it, but out of 50/50 or P21s as long as there was EGP under there it would be P21s for me.
 
Its nothing personal, i just dont like the way you cant see it when its on...i've only used it the once when my mate brought it round, we put it on his black 320d and missed some bits lol..

I was tempted by the Pete's, but I have not touched the 50/50 since starting the Swissvax Collection or getting the Zymol Concours.
 
can try my petes if u want and citrus wash n gloss, just let me knwo and ill take some to work!!
 
Cheers, will give a shout after FCS for that as it is being prepped ready for Zymol Destiny at the moment.
 
I found some guy on a detialing website, he uses the mystery wax on all his cars one of whiich is a Porka GT3RS very nice black one.... Rich i would advise u gt eosme of this wax man that car looks go Depp and glossy its amazing....sex weed
 
Zymol Destiny is even more expensive than the Mystery and is meant to look better still so need to use that first. It is all in the prep to be honest, polishing creates 90% of the look. Off late waxes have added very little if anything over the look achieved by a proper polish.

Would say yes but really not got the time at the moment. Worth dropping Brazo on here a PM.
 
Swindon - Not sure what he quotes time wise for a Clio, will be very akin to what I would charge, like everything in life you get what you pay for.

You could always try a wanted post on here for someone with a PC or pop a post on detailing world. I used to charge less than I do when I first started out, but the amount of work involved meant it was not worth my while, you may find someone just starting out that will do it for 50 odd quid.
 
Hummm want it done properly. got some etches in paint aswell will he be able to sort them, as he is only up the road :)... was thinking baout 150 quid?
