Best exhaust for the 200 by far, i may get along to this Stirling meet!

What meet is that?

You get any before it was on the car i wanted to see the quality of it ?

Unfortunately not. Though the guys that fitted it said it's the best quality exhaust they have seen for a Ren. Sport

Those tips look fancy.

Much lighter than standard?

I was a bit dubious about them at first but I do think the rear looks better with out the flashy chrome tips. Think the book says the system is 7(ish) Kg lighter than standard.

I don't care if i lose 4bhp and gain 7kg's, i need the peace I think the Clio is the only car i have owned that the exhaust is louder inside the car than out, I would of thought the Akra is pretty much the same! Maybe i'm just getting old

The reason I chose this over any other was that its just as quite (almost) as the standard system when you want it to be, but step on the loud pedal and it sings its sweet tune.

Finally got a wee vid made up of the Akrapovic exhaust. Got Emma to record me coming up the Applecross road earlier on today.

The vid is made up of the same footage shot with 2 different cameras (Didnt know how to shoot video on the Canon at the time so was just to be safe).

We tried today for a drive by but when watching the videos back all you could hear was the wind.

Back in the hotel after our 3 day Highlands/West coast roadtrip and have uploaded some pics of our trip so thought I'd stick them up.

Washed the car first thing on Friday morning an took a quick pic at Stirling services before she got all dirty:

We set off through Callander, Crainlarch etc before stopping off for a pee break at the Green Welly services:

We then had a decision to make; via Fort William or Oban? Picked to go via Oban as we'd done Fort William last year. Glad we did though as the roads were awesome. Long sweeping bends (Proper RS country). Then met some local wildlife:

They aint bonded now. Not looked properly but it looks like some sort of clip holding them in place.

Basically if you floor it from less than 2.5k you get a crazy dip in power then a surge againat 3k. Only if your booting it in second you feel it!

Aye heard the flatspot mentioned a few times, another reason for doing it this way first, see if I can put up with it before investing in a full system! Does the Akrapovic suffer from the same thing?

When driven properly the flatspot isnt noticable at all. If you try and accelerate away in 6th or 5th then you can feel it a tad.

Like I said though. Drive it properly (Not necessarily gunning it) and you wont notice a difference
