Just been over to my cousins to sort out some stuff with his computer and on my way back just now I got a couple of clunks on gear change then all of a sudden summat broke!!!

I kinda knew what it was, and I instantly thought engine mount, so I stopped, lifted the bonnet, rocked the engine and yup the feckin engine mount has either broken or come loose/off.

[coughs]

No... Ive never set off fast in it mr Renault service bloke...



Shame because it was being soooo well behaved too and has not given me any trouble for ages since its initial teething troubles from new, so I had grown to trust it... what a fool!



Ah well, its nowt serious, just a quick job, so take the gfs car to work and then ring them and get it booked in ASAP I aint bothered about simple stuff like this and thats what warranty is for.

Yeah, its nowt major and engine mounts are weak on these anyway...

Might invest in some proper ones!

WTF?! id be well pissed, end of the day engine should not be going on a car with 3000 miles on! its a pisstake andd just empasises the fact that reno are indeed, total tw4ts.

Just had a proper look with a torch and its just the rubber engine mount, the gearbox one...

Nowt serious, its a common one and a few too many fast starts and wheelspin in this mailto:cr@p">cr@p weather have caused this!
