alpine stalk adapter problems

hi guys,

i purchased a stalk adapter to make my stalk control and display work with my alpine head unit, however ive connected it all up, pulled off the dash casing and put the red connector into the back of the display but upon doing this and turning on my alpine head unit, there is no stalk controls and no display, but the alpine head unit is working on its own. I also managed to somehow blow both the bulbs in my display which i had to replace.

Any ideas? Even the guys in halfords didnt have a clue...:dapprove:

If the standard headunit had Update list on it, Alpine haven't done the cables to work with that wiring yet.

If your original head unit had "Update List" on it then none of the current stalk adapters will work. Something to with changing how the remote works to a "Can-Bus" system or something in 2005.

so sorry lads, was in a rush and forgot about that bit! Its a 2000 mk2 ph1 and it doesnt have update list on it.

Any ideas?
