alpine sterio not rembering track info or radio info

my mates got a ipod alpine headunit thing and it doesnt remeber the track info of a cd or any radio stations when the cars turned off and on again. included some pics of all the wires, hes sure its somthing to do with posotive and negative wires or somthing.

Anyone shed some light?

red and yellow power wires! try swapping them!!!

As above its normally the constant live and ignition live the wrong way round. Easy peasy

^^ agree - or could be a fuse if not!

looks a pretty decent alpine unit - most of the higher end ones require you to run a new live to the battery as they have a large current draw - easy enough to do - just run it through the bonnet release cable grommit. If you canb use some 8 guage with a fuse a couple of inches from the battery for eztra safety

See how the yellow and red both have bullet conencters?

Swap them about so its red to yellow and yellow to red, gurantee it works then and takes seconds
