Alternator or new battery

Right as above, basically headlights dim abit when i have my subs etc up loud. Do i buy a more powerful battery or an uprated alternator?

If its the battery option, where i can purchase one which would fit into mk2 phase ( just saying if the batteries aren't universal in size)

Or the uprated alternator?

I have a second battery in mine - no problem with the ICE

Car sometimes fails to do as much as even unlock the doors never mind start in freezing weather but thats Renault for you!

although ever member on here thinks they are rubbish i have a power cap and that stopped my lights dimming, the cap's running a 2000watt amp and 2xjbl 1000watt gto's perfectly.

and i just upgraded my earth from the battery to the chassis and that stopped my lights from dimming

i think i will try that option actually, the earth solution got to be the cheapest, will let you know how it goes !
