Alternator question

Can some one please have a look on ebay link

and tellme if this will work in the clio 172 mk2 as im sure they look the same as the other alternators that the 172 uses.

Also if it is not can some one point me to a link under either there own search on ebay or under my search.

First one wont do,

you will need a sport one, Contact Steve79 http://www.cliosport.net/forum/member.php?u=39708 and ask him for one, he brake's sport's everyday

Thanks for the reply.

If i can add to this post the problem after much reading the forum then maybe im right in suggesting a new alternator.



The cars rev counter will cut out every now and then under like a constant power, also with the whine noise. I think its this as the car cuts out when the rev needle drops off the scale and i need to blip it to get the counter to respond again.

The Rev count works on a vaccum so sucking air in, notice you have ITB's so this will be different, so im not sure on that..

Have you test that theres circa 12v+ coming from the alternator? you will need a multimeter to test,
