Anyone reverted back to standard ?

  Arctic 182
fitted vmaxx coilies to the 182 last week and seriously regretting it. its ruined the ride, i knew it would, but curiosity got the better of me and i took the plunge and bought the coilies. Dont get me wrong, the car looks better on them, but it didnt exactly look s**t before. really tempted to stick the standard suspension back on and live with the arch gap at the rear.

You get used to it! My 182 has been on vmaxx for just about 6 months. Mine are wound pretty low though so it's quite bouncy/firm. Stick with it :) tbf, they are pretty cheap!

  Mazda 3 MPS Mk1
That's the prob, if you have cup packs your fucked for decent suspension. Bit of a joke really

The roads around me are absobloodylutely awful! My cars slammed on h&rs but I can't bring myself to revert to standard, just have to take it in the chin and cherish the nice flat roads when I find them!

  Looking for 182
I know the feeling. I'm on KTEC coilovers, which are great when the roads are good. Unfortunately most of my journey to work is on crap roads.

I'm just going to stick with it though.

  Never above 25mpg
Just got apex 40mm on mine and everybody slates the ride quality but they're fine.

Try different settings before you can them altogether

This is what happens when you take a well sorted drivers car designed for the road, and deck it on pound stretcher suspension just for the lows and the inability to actually drive it anywhere without shattering your spine and your splitter.

I have no regrets about my suspension decisions, but Dave has a point, suspension for cup packed cars is harder to come by if you want to do it properly.
Thats why there are so many cheap and cheerful kits out there.

If you're going to up rate the suspension, do it properly.

I'm back to standard in a way. I did fully intend to modify my car but the longer I drive it standard, the more I'm tempted to keep it that way. It handles fine as it is really, it's just the looks that make me want it a bit lower.

Your main problem is the suspension you bought. Get a decent kit and you'll be far happier.

Not really. The standard cup-packed suspension is 1 billion times better than cheap coilovers for everything apart from 'lows' ...

My advice, if you dont have a grand to spend, leave it alone.

Or buy the Trophy Sachs setup & a whiteline ARB - mine is the best handling clio i have ever driven. And ive driven quite a few.

I put some coilovers on my C2 about 2 weeks ago, bit of a waste of money if im honest. Yeah it handles better and looks WAY better and I dont mind the ride to be honest, I just hate having to dodge pot holes all the time. Already grounded on country roads and have scraped on a few speedbumps, absolute pain. Also have loads of rattles developing because the car is being shaken so much lol and my fog light smashed the day after i fitted them, so im blaming the coilovers for that too xD

No doubt ill last about 6 months with them, god knows how people drive these cars around that are absolutely decked.

  182 FF
Did exactly the same with mine (except KTEC'S) had them on for 2 months then couldn't stand it any longer. Took them off and fitted eibach pro springs which are just about ok, good on flat smooth road and cut down on roll but on a bumpy road not as good as standard tracks and pulls. Wish i had never ever messed with it........never will again unless spending serious poundage :((
