Yup. 27mpg. Stop start traffic Mon-Fri. I do 8 miles to work each way, taking between 25 and 45 mins.

It's also an auto with a dodgy "tuning box" on it. And I drive it hard.

Probably needs EGR removing to be fair, along with a new thermostat

My drive isn't too dissimilar and mines currently showing 41 since the thermostat changes. It was down at 37. Mines manual and I treat it like the shitter it is. Budgets and RWD is fun.

Mrs 320d manual used to do 38-40 on the trip in stop start. Anywhere between 47-60 on a run.
Have you check it’s getting up to temp?

No because it's some pissy stupid way of getting intot he "secret menu" that I can't be fucked doing, lol.

Its at the garage today having a new washer bottle pump and sorting the squeaky brakes, so I may ask him to do the thermo too

@Cookson that is deffo broken, my 330d auto is doing 35mpg in exactly the same conditions and doesnt sound like a transit.

The main thing wrong with the car is you bought the wrong one. Who the f**k buys a turbo diesel for an 8 mile journey from cold in traffic 😂

That said, it's still 20% or more down from where I'd expect, suggesting its taking an age to get warm, or your 'tuning box' is just bore washing it to death.

I'd be chopping a 2.0 in if it did that bad mpg. My 530d does around 25mpg around town day to day but it's a lump of a car and can shift when it's needs to
