Are Cups getting more common

Just dropped my missus off in Swansea town centre, normal Saturday afternoon traffic but in the space of 5 minutes I saw not 1, not 2 but 3 172 Cups ! Are they getting common ? Granted, I have only seen 2 other Cups around Swansea (possibly the same ones I saw today) but to see 3 in that short space of time made me think ! I put it down to coincidence !

Then, to cap it all off I see a Flame Red 172 at the lights on the way home ! Maybe it is just 172s in general are getting common ?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, also saw a Red Civic Type-R too.

Saying that about the 172s tho, they will never be as common as Scoobys ! I must have seen about 10 in the 20 minutes I was out !

Dude, since i joined in August ive seen one Cup in a carpark and none on the road. I know dust has one but i havent seen it. 172s arent that common but you do see a few about on the road.

You are right mate ! You are ! I have probably seen a total of 6 or 7 seperate 172s/Cups around Swansea before today and then I see 4 in the space of 20 minutes ! Crazy ! It is a nice day so maybe they are just out enjoying the sun as they are garaged during the rain ! LOL !

sh*t!.. something MUST be going on then as ive just got back from a rinse around town and saw not 1, not 2, but 5! red cars!!!!!!.... ranging from Escorts to a small little kids ride out side a shop!!!, ooh and thinking about it, a red fireengine too!! hmm but thats not a car is it... but still, very...VERY suspect i think!.. maybe its to do with the government or maybe the iraqies? (spelling) hmm

I never used to see any 172s, now I see at least 1 a day, I saw a silver one today, a blue one yesterday and often see a silver one and a Cup on my way to work. I hardly ever see red or black ones. So yes I think they are becoming more popular especially as the price is plumetting on them. I even see V6s more often.

Is this really a bad thing though?

The 172s are no where near as common as the Civic Type Rs....For every 1 172 there must be at least 5 CTRs

last cliosport meet i went to there was 4 172s (my red one, 2 silver, 1 blue, one black) and 3 Cups.

thats in manchester, id say there was about the same number of each.

Dont worry though, i NEVER see Red ones.
