Audi 1.8T Manifold on valver head, adapter plate stud question..

  R5 GTT EFI Clio.
Decided im going to use the Audi 1.8T cast manifold as i am turbo'ing the F7P for my little clio, anyways, before i make my old man machine me a adapter plate, to go inbetween the head and the audi manifold, adapter plate bolts to head, manifold bolts to adapter plate, (studs)

Only concern, is a stud being ontop of a stud? - Those of you that know the shape of the exhaust gfasket for a valver's head, looking at this gaskit template from the audi manifold, do you think there will be stud ontop of stud?

As if this occurs im not sure of a solution that can solve it..

Any ideas/Thoughts welcome,

I wouldn't! They're really prone to cracking, and there's not the material to drill & tap into really.

Adaptor plate would be the way, but the manifold will still crack :(

Costs the earth though?

I didnt think there was alot of grief in it apart from making the adapter plate, just concerned now as i have never heard of them cracking and now hearing it will?

you need to get on Clio16valver.net and get hunting for a used one. What's your manifold budget? Cast manifolds flow bad enough as is, let alone log manifolds, let alone adapted manifolds.

Really? Pretty much every one that comes off the car is cracked.

They don't flow all that well either, peaking at ~230bhp & 270bhp depending on whether K03 or K04 fitment.
