Auto Wipers and Heat Relfective Window

  Not got a car
I have a inferno 182 but am missing the Auto Wipers and Heat Relfective Window Screen, Theres no sensor near the rear view mirror so all my wipers do when adjusting the speed on the stork is speed up the intermittent.

Theres also no blue reflective screen, but its a genuine renualt screen and looking at the condition ie scratchs and chips its the one from new.

why have i not got them? :(

the adjuster has nothing to do with the wiper speed... its purely an adjuster for the auto sensitivity.

Do you actually have auto wipers then?

Thats what im saying, when its on the intermittent setting it slows or speed up the intermittent. Where on my 172 it changes the sensitivity

it might be worth going to renault and asking them to pull up your car via your chasse number, they should be able to give you the full spec of your car, i.e what type of extras and what level of trim you got...
i did it with mine when i first got it when i was running a background check on the car, all i did was ask the customer service people and they should be able to pull it up right there and then

Well its not a cup for sure, I have C/C, Xeons, Engine cover, Seats, lamp washers and had silver wheels, so i think its not a cup

It's very odd though because if in the past it had had a windscreen replaced, surely they would have fitted the correct screen, and if not, surely the owner would have noticed, or did they not? :S

the previous owner could have ripped it out, got fed up with the whole auto wipers thing like we all do lol

  Breaking mk2 DCI
previous owner didnt have windscreen cover and the guy was a tightarse bought cheap screen, well thats my assumtion to why mine aint got one

Hmmmmm that is a strange one. If the stalk works like a non-auto wipers model then maybe it was spec'd from factory to come without them by whoever bought it new?

just found out today its an import, dont have alarm and i got a bi of paper with all import check on, it was in the service man.

  CLIO Iceberg 172
ouch, defently a different spec then with it being an import, in theroy all the wiring should still be there, so all you would need is the sensor and the windscreen,
in theroy, in practice i could be very wrong

I'd get your insurance informed mate, you know how anal they can be when it comes to paying out, don't give them an excuse.

What year is it may have been ordered just before the spec changed from 172 to 182.

my first clio a dynamique came with the auto wiper stalk and when queried it had been fitted with the wrong stalk as Renault had changed the spec three weeks after I had ordered it, so all they did was out the correct stalk back on it - so no free up grade to auto sensor world.

Just a quick bump

Driving tonight in the rain I had them on the second setting, The one after intermitant just normal wiping, Noticed everytime you stop for traffic lights ect they stop and go onto intermitant then when you start off they go again

This is very strange, my 172 was nothing like this,

Just so you know, most of the time a screen is replaced you have to replace the sensor (can't buy the pads seperate) so if it has been replaced they might not have had the money to replace that aswell.

Its a Renault screen and from the wear marks from the wipers and chips i think its standard.

so in theory i should just have to buy the sensor and plug it in?

But on the intermittant setting the control on the inner of the stalk sets how fast the intermittant speed wippes. This should be the control for the sensitivity of the auto wipers, so would it work like that is i put the sensor in?
