bad paintwork...

ive gota 1999 clio, and basically need the drivers door, and rear quarter panel sprayed, along with rear bumper

im in real predicament, cause the paint work looks crap, and ive had my car from new and hate to see it in this state, but i cant afford to fork out £800 for bodyshop to fix it

is there anyone on here in london, hertfordshire or essex, that has the kit and could do it for a better price? i dont mind mucking in, but i just need sumone with the kit and whod do it for me at good price.

hmmm, its hard to describe, its as if ive ran over it with sandpaper, when its dry it goes a white blotchy colour, when its wet you wouldnt think there was anything wrong with it

t-cut colour restorer followed by a good polish (meguiars #21 - pm 182blue) and you'll propbably get quite a good finish. I'd personally try 1 genorous coat of t-cut colour restorer foloowed by 2 coats of polish. worked on my sister in laws car.

i think its beyond the help of t cut to be honest?

its not that the metallic has lost its shininess, its almost as if something has gone wrong with the laquer itself. someone told e in a bodyshop its as if someone had thrown brake fluid over it

its monaco (peralescent) blue

So what did the body shop quote for? To strip and re-spray the whole area, or just to re-lacquer?? As it sounds like its the lacquer where the problem is so wouldn't have thought that would be so bad to correct.... but im no expert though

well i think the white colour shows its gone through to the colour paint? maybe im wrong, cause like i said its barely noticeable when the cars wet.

that was to strip back to the metal etc, for the drivers door, rear quarter, not sure bout the bumper

stil cant afford 800 quid though
