Baked on brake dust?

My car hasn't been looked after very well lately, and the white wheels are caked in burned/baked on brake dust.

Gonna go out with the 'clean wheels' in a bit & some fairy liquid and a brush but what else can I try?

will AG Aqua Wax help stop it sticking?

That would burn the alloys if used too much

Try just using fairy first as it wont harm the wheels.

clean with wheel spray, that wheel brightner should s**t some s**t, and then clay them.

Autoglym Wheel Cleaner should do the trick. Not sure the Aquawax will be that durable on the wheels, worth a try.
