Basic question about insuring a 182 with both cup packs

Hi all

This is my first post on these forums. I am looking to buy a 182 with both cup packs at the moment, but when you insure these do you have to declare the cup packs as modifications as they are factory fitted? Or do they show up when you type the registration number in to the website you are using to get the quotes from?

They do not come up when you put your reg in.

Im with tesco and had to mention them as they asked

"Does your car have any modifications including FACTORY OPTIONS"

They got listed on my policy but made no real difference on premium. Some companies ask for them, some dont mind.


Worth asking the company you are getting a quote from.

thank you very much, i'm currently with directline and have done a sample quote with them (300 fully comp with all the options protected NCB, courtesy car etc.) but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to list the cup packs

Yer most companies dont list the factory options.

Its easier to do the quote online, save it, use the reference number given and ring them up and mention the Cup Packs.

This way you can see how much/if any premium they will add to your quote.

Factory options dont normally add much, but best adding them in if you want them to be covered
