best shocks for 2000 1.2

just got a clio and decided to get some half decent shocks for it. been looking in a few magazines and the best i found is a set of spax vsx kit for £250 + springs. any other good kits for around that price.

cos i want the right compression and rebound for uprated springs.

Go down the coilover route?

Will handles better and they are adjustable.

FKs are good and they are around 400 quid.
