Best way to launch 172/182

I am going to have a go at a 0-100 video and was wondering what the best method to get a 182 away from a standing start is.

My method is hold 3500rpm drop the clutch then when it bites and your moving floor it. Seems to give rather alot of wheel spin but it got away well and didnt bog down.

Any opinions on the best way to do it.

Dry road
No Traction control

^^^ That's what I do - 3k's enough for me to get it moving without bogging down (but then I am a little lighter), and feathering it instead of flooring it means you're still driving forwards rather than wheelspinning all the power away. Once it hooks up you can than take it to the limiter... I only give it full throttle in first from about 5k or it's a waste.

I thought the way I was doing it lacked a bit of finesse.

PS Do you a have 0-100 vid. I want to see how much faster mine is then a stripped cup;)

I usually launch at 2k..get the clutch right on the biting point and be progressive with throttle and clutch until traction is gained then floor it lol

Get it on the deck of HMS illustrious and get it hooked up to one of the winches!

Seriously though, my understanding is it's basically get your foot down as quick as possible without any wheelspin. Wheelspin is definitely no good as if your wheels are spinning, you're going nowhere!
