BHP Guestimate?

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
Lets have some gestimates then. Ive been buying a few new toys for the 182 although still have a couple more to buy before fitting.

What do we think ill get power wise with the following?

ITG Panel filter
Angelworks matched inlets
RS Tuner remap (worth paying the extra for a custom map?)

Ive also bought some tarty mods as i know theyre worth a few bhp ;)

New Renault floor mats
Anthracite side badges and front diamond.
Chrome battery cover
Chrome strut top covers

At the fly. maybe less accurate but i like bigger numbers lol

Any other subtle mods i could make just to help squeeze a little bit more power out? Mid range power improvements especially would be good.

No more than 190bhp, realising gains of 40bhp+ arent feasible from a normally asspirated engine without going down the Super/Turbo charger route.

There is no substitute for cubic capacity.

Do the sensible thing and buy an Evo MR FQ 400 lol

Lol im not that naive. Although it would be nice to come close to the 200bhp mark with cams if i decide to go down that route in Feb time when the cambelt change is due.

My main aim at the min is to try and release some power lower down the rev range.

Cams are a good idea mate they should give you good low down pull.

I believe Shrick cams are very good!

As for getting the car dyno'd ive been recommended to use a dyno box rather than a rolling road. Apparently they're more accurate as they remove the wheels and clamp the dyno onto the hubs themselves.

Ive been trying to find a dyno local to stoke-on-trent but the nearest seems to be middlewhich.

what i would do is find a decent place local, do a run with it all standard, then fit all your bits and do another run.

so long as you use the same dyno you will see what you have gained.

Thats the plan mate. The overall figure may not be accurate but the torque curves etc should still be somewhere near.
