A mate of mine has a RB182 with stripes, bought it new and over time the one thing that he doesnt like is the stripes. When it was new he thought it was pretty cool but now he says the stripes really bug him, I said to remove the stripes to which he replied 'could do, but then i'd have two blue stripes...' fair point I guess.
Though when my Monaco 172 is sat next to his RB, my 172 looks much more discreet and stealthy.

Lol You are going on like they are slating him, simply saying a car is chavvy isn't "bullshit", it's simply a fairly well informed opinion as hot hatches with loud exhausts are fairly well regarded as chavvy.
Theres nothing wrong with it being chavvy, but in comparison to say, a standard Audi A3, or Ford Focus, a 182 with a loud exhaust IS more chavvy, fact.
So I go to pick up my girlfriend from work last night, when she gets in the car she tells me that today she has been told that my car is Chavy. When she asked why the girl said that *fake bimbo essex accent* "well it's blue...and it's got stripes, oh and sometimes you can hear his exhuast when he drives past". I didn't really know what to say at this point, the isn't even that loud to be fair. If a Lamborghini was blue and they are all loud does that make it Chavy? Anyway my I guess my point is that because people are dense I just thought IDE let you know that if your car is blue, or has a performance exhuast then it officially means your a chav. And if you have an RB with stripes, your Ali g.

This. Half of them won't even know that a 182 had 2 exhausts from the factory, they'll just think you put them on. Likewise with the Xenons, Recaros, engine, Turinis e.t.c.

Essentially, if you're comfortable with the image you give off from your vehicle, crack on. Don't go crying to the Internet because someone thinks you're a McRacer though because, in a Clio, most lads seem to think they're invincible driving machines. Poor deluded fools.

Anyway sadly the girl was simply a fact.
Sometimes feel like poeple think im a chav in my Williams with Magnex exhaust. To most it looks like a 20 year old clio with a big exhaust, gold wheels and a bonnet bulge. Probaly think its a 1.2 with a bodykit - but those who think that have no idea what it is, and so can't appreciate it. In my opinion its not chavvy at all and is an ethusiasts car!

Lol Exactly! I'm going for this BMW, I want it not because it's better built than a Clio, not because it has a better image than a Clio, but because I think I might be able to beat it in a race.
It's always funny thinking these prestige owners actually see the chav boxes passig them at 3 figures in a 30. Probably too busy listening to Radio 2 and holding a conversation with the passenger. Probably heated seats on wafting away.
Clio's are a bit chavvy, lets be fair.
Mine is red and loud. Hardly subtle.

It's not too loud on tickover or normal driving, but when started up from cold it does that 1500rpm thing for about a minute with neat petrol pouring out the back (102RON FYI), and TBH it's pretty f**king loud while it's doing that. Because of this, I have decided I'm dumping the decat pipe for good, and buying a 200 cel sports cat. It'll still sound like race car when i light the fuse, but will be a little less anti-social starting up at 04:30 in the morning.

I know what you mean though. TBH I sometimes wish mine was a bit more mild mannered, but I know I'd miss it if I bought a gayer car. Plus, in my defence, it actually needs the lairy exhaust to flow the power that it has.
Don't get me wrong, I love them. Just, they're very aggressive-looking and loud. Ergo I bet chavs do that wrist-slapping thing they do when it goes past.

There's no middle ground. If you don't care for Renault Sports in any regard then it's a loud Clio. You'll probably have no idea if the exhaust is standard or that the misplaced stripes are actually factory fit.
It'll just look like you've done it up. Because you're a chav. If you're a fem then 9 times out of 10 although it's perfectly acceptable to be driving around in a 54 plate corsa that hasn't been washed in 5 years, has probably close to an entire head of hair on the seat, and the same amount in cum that's leaked from between her legs in the years that she's owned it. But owning a car that's clean and has a more of a notable appearance is something to laugh at.
If you care what she thinks just spend 1,500 quid on an old E Class and she'll think you're loaded.
