brake lite on a cup spoiler

just fitted new cup spoiler to my 172,but the brake lite dosnt work on it,the connectors seem fine and plug into each other,thought it was the fuse that blown 1st but wasnt as the rear brake lights work inc old spoiler brake lite,but when tried brake lites on cup spoiler when connected the brake l;ite on the spoiler dosnt work but the other two tailgate lights do?

any advice cheers....

Well you'll need to check you're getting 12vdc at the brake light - If you are then it could be eother you're not making a connection or you light is fubar.

dont understand lol(me being thick) maybe the bulbs have blown,looks as if the lights cover comes out in 1unit with the bulbs inside and it goes/comes out in 1 big unit?
