:up:Looks amazing Mark.
Time for another little update. The dog is pretty much back to full health now, so I'm relaxed again!!
I got the call to say the superleggeras were done and ready for collection. I went to collect them yesterday evening, and to say I'm happy is an understatement!!
Today I managed to get the cup washed for the first time in around 18 months......flol! Proof that it has been polished in its life with me became very apparent when I dried it off. I'll be polishing it this week at some point.
Here's some pics of the superleggeras tried on for size. Front bumper is gonna need some therapy and it looks like the rear arches will need to be rolled - piece of piss jobs tbf. More to come.
@massivewangers - this is about as close as it gets to the bonnet up! Lol! View attachment 152312View attachment 152313
We would also be very rich - no man in the world has ever given birth! FlolMe and you would make awesome babies....:hearteyes:
Stunning, that's all i have to say. X
No problem mate. Once it's mapped you are more than welcome for a ride.
Thanks for being a watcher mate! Nice to know it has some tbh!Been watching this since you started the thread and been looking forward to it being completed
The work you have put into it has definitely paid off ! It looks so good
Looking forward to seeing the mapping results [emoji1303]
Thanks mate!Very tidy Mark, looking forward to seeing the results.
The mapping is booked.
EFA.an estimated 7.3bhp? lol........... this will be interesting
Not telling. There's a lot still to be done between now and then! Safe map and not required!!When when when?
I'm not making any mate. I've not made any from the start, so I'll just wait and see what it does. What's your guesstimate on what it'll make then Mark? Rough figures?
Thanks Martin! :up:Looks absolutely awesome mate. Such a high quality build. Even little things like the center caps still show how high you've set the general benchmark.
Properly love this. Looking forward to see the dyno results and a video!
Could of just bought a Turkish inlet:up:The kit *should* do 230hp, but anything over 200hp and I'll be happy tbh, as that's all I originally set out to aim for.
Flol! Wouldn't look as pretty though!!Could of just bought a Turkish inlet:up:
Cheers mate.f**k me. That's amazing.
Great work, soldier.
Thanks mate. Yeah it's taken longer than I anticipated, but it's definitely nice to be almost at the finish line.great work sir, bet your happy its at this point, - its hard when it seems so far from completion to keep eyes on the prize but to be at this point now you must be stoked... bring on the mapping
Thanks mate! You've had your work cut out catching up then mate!I've just caught up with the last 5 or 6 pages. Great work Mark, glad it's almost finished now
It's funny, I've been looking at these myself for my bonnet Well these and their very expensive American counterpart!!Had a delivery of the pitking quick release catches today. I'll be using these on my front bumper now it needs a bit of therapy for clearance.
First impressions on them are, WOW! They're seriously strong enough to use as bonnet catches!! Not only are they smaller than aerocatches, they won't distort the panel as much when fitted. The release action is very nice as well - press the button in the middle and the spring loaded centre pops the fitting out.
Only downside is they don't lock, but I don't have locking aerocatches anyway and they don't cover a very large surface area. I'm very tempted to use some of these now instead of reusing the aerocatches when I fit my new bonnet. All they need is a large washer underneath to help spread the load. More to come.
Thanks mate. Tbh, I've not really had the time to rush it all even if is wanted to! LolThat looks absolutely superb Mark. Huge envy of your skills and patience to have such a brilliant build on and not rush things to get it done. Just everything is brilliant, love it.
Yes you can mate. If you put the video link in your post it normally comes up with a direct link to the video if it's on YouTube.*off-topic*
can I post vids on this forum, or there's one just for it? Sorry for the offtopic.
Demon Tweeks mate.Where did you get the pitking latches from? Look really well made!
Great work as always!
Was just having a look at those Pitking catches the other day, had never seen them before until @Gray informed me of them. I was unsure if i would be keen of them on the bonnet (due to strength) but i haven't seen them in person. What is the concern with not being able to lock them?
