Time for another little update. The dog is pretty much back to full health now, so I'm relaxed again!!

I got the call to say the superleggeras were done and ready for collection. I went to collect them yesterday evening, and to say I'm happy is an understatement!!
Today I managed to get the cup washed for the first time in around 18 months......flol! Proof that it has been polished in its life with me became very apparent when I dried it off. I'll be polishing it this week at some point.

Here's some pics of the superleggeras tried on for size. Front bumper is gonna need some therapy and it looks like the rear arches will need to be rolled - piece of piss jobs tbf. I'm not making any mate. I've not made any from the start, so I'll just wait and see what it does.
The kit *should* do 230hp, but anything over 200hp and I'll be happy tbh, as that's all I originally set out to aim for.

Thanks mate. Yeah it's taken longer than I anticipated, but it's definitely nice to be almost at the finish line.
I did however manage to remember that I've still got my oil pressure/temp gauge to install still. That means fun times fighting the dash top past the roll cage. 🙈

Had a delivery of the pitking quick release catches today. I'll be using these on my front bumper now it needs a bit of therapy for clearance.
First impressions on them are, WOW! They're seriously strong enough to use as bonnet catches!! Not only are they smaller than aerocatches, they won't distort the panel as much when fitted. The release action is very nice as well - press the button in the middle and the spring loaded centre pops the fitting out. :up:

Only downside is they don't lock, but I don't have locking aerocatches anyway and they don't cover a very large surface area. I'm very tempted to use some of these now instead of reusing the aerocatches when I fit my new bonnet. All they need is a large washer underneath to help spread the load.

Was just having a look at those Pitking catches the other day, had never seen them before until @Gray informed me of them. I was unsure if i would be keen of them on the bonnet (due to strength) but i haven't seen them in person. What is the concern with not being able to lock them?

I really like them, look alot neater than Aerocatches IMO.

@NorthloopCup might be worried of people opening his bonnet and ejaculating on his awesome engine :tonguewink:

Is it just a case of drilling a hole through the bumper to crossmember etc and fit/adjust as required? No other special fixings etc?
