Bump strips off while raining...?

My bump strips are currently at home in the garage and my car is outside in the pouring rain without them..

Will water in the holes be an issue? After market speakers and wires in the door are making me paranoid but I have nothing to go and plug the holes up with :s

As the rain has been dieing off I was caring less, but suddenly remembered I had some masking tape in the back of the car somewhere to just whacked it on.

So when you're driving along and it's raining people will think you're a tard because the tape will be peeling off and stuck inside the door shut

i taped mine for about a week. make sure you have some white spirit or intensive tar remover to get the glue off when you peel it off.

i say weld the hols up, get rid of the strip and paint a white line down the side like the masking tape! that looks awsome! haha

I made sure it's right over the holes so any glue left over won't be seen and would help the strips I guess.
