Buzzing from 172 Interior Lighting

Does anyone get the same buzzing noise from the interior lights above their head in the mk2 172 when they first put the ignition on. It's driving me nuts, I was tempted to rip the stupid lighting unit out this morning

your lucky ive got a manual sunroof in my car that rattles plus the driver door rattle as well - shite rno build quality im afraid

It's your climate control fan, between the lights.

They are quilt common to fail and become noisey.

ive got a 51 plate 172 and it makes the same noise but goes after a while
i just thought it was normal but someone has come up with an answer so now i know what it is to cheers

You need to replace the fan.

I had mine replaced under warranty, I'm sure it isn't that hard to do.

Anybody know where to source the fan, is it easy to change?

Your local unfriendly Renault dealer will have it.

Its about a tenner and its easy to change, just unclips and then clips back in.
