Cadwell Track Evening Video

A video from last nights track evening at Cadwell park, quite an eventful night, kicked off 6pm only for the 1st car out (1 series Bmw) ploughing in to the old hairpin and destroying the tyre wall and armco, leaving the marshalls a lengthy job of securing the armco so the evening could continue, By 6:40pm the trackday started again, and by 7pm my front nearside tyre had a chunck missing from it, not only that the Strut bolts (all 4) had loosened enough for me to be running variable camber :eek:
so 10 laps was the total for the night, so i never got chance to get in to the groove and push the car and myself harder :(

Still i'm back on the 6th and this time the bolts will be tight and the crap tyres will be on some farmers hay stack ;)

Anyway here's the video, there'll also be another short one uploaded later of the rest of my one and only session.

Shame about the off holding things up. Had you been to Cadwell before? Shall see you there on the 6th.

Not bad,your not having much luck this year are you.Cadwell always looks so very narrow to me,must be hard to get a decent lap in.

Carl, Both Coppice and then charlies were both taken in 4th, i was speaking to Paul (Fishcake) who i do most of the trackdays with and i'm sure with a bit more time with the car at cadwell and a brave pill coppice could be take flat in 5th, now for some reason my jc5-130 box seems to run out of revs before Pauls does, on every track we've done so far i'm either struggling with 2/3rd or going for 5th when Paul can hold on to 4th, and it's not a case of me being faster than him, on the some tracks there's little in it, but over all Pauls the faster driver.

Whiteley, my fault with the sound, the rear facing camera was the cause of the bad sound, while editing i forgot too mute the rear video sound track :eek:
I have done cadwell before, an evening and full day but both were in rwd cars and quite a few years ago. See you a week on Monday.

Cmr, I'm using a 550/580 line bullet cam (£50 from the states, ebay) and an old faulty sony camcorder, but luckily the av in part of the camcorder works ok. It doesn't seem to produce too bad results.

Teething Problems Tony :eek::eek:

After the winter strip down and rebuild i'm hoping to iron out all the creases and get the reliabilty i'm looking for ;)

Your right about Cadwell's width, if the car infront doesn't want too play ball, they can squeeze you all the way, and it's not uncommon too have a wheel on the grass (only in the dry though ;))
