Does anyone have any decent links to technical discussion on net code? I'm aware that it is possible to program software to have a certain tolerance and compensation for network lag, so I'd really like to know what it is that has apparently been broken with this game? For sure we can say that P2P connections is probably a massive factor, but AFAIK it's not the first CoD game to use this method. Do the PC users (who benefit from dedicated servers) also have the same issues?
Not trolling. Genuinely interested to learn more. All I see here is constant moaning about lag, so perhaps we should use this thread to gain a greater understanding? Is it REALLY the game? Can they REALLY patch network lag? If so, why did they break it to begin with? Possibly questions that wont be answered, but a whole lot more interesting than the constant complaining.
