Camber correcting bolts

  Golf GT & A4 Avant
I'm thinking of lowering the 182 with cup suspension on Eibach sportlines, and was wondering if I ought to get a set of camber correcting bolts and get it all re-aligned. Or are they not really needed until dropped on coilovers?

Generally fitted them in the past to previous cars like my 5 Turbo, 2.0ltr Corsas and Nova's etc and they've always head with grip and tyre wear, but they were all pretty low.

What about to improve grip on track with sticky rubbber?
At present i've got a 182 with cup packs and was thinking about camber bolts to help with turn-in, general cornering grip and tyre wear during track days.

With sticky tyres and suitable spring/damer rates then there is a requirement to be able to dial in more negative camber to suit.

To give some idea on slicks with 425/725 lb springs F/R we run 3.75 degrees front and 2 degrees rear on the SE X85s.

surely a decent suspension would be more suited to track use rather than springs and -ve camber

to add a bit more, the car will never be tracked. I've done a few track days now to know not to use my own car.

so lowering it on springs isn't going to make the camber worse and scrub out the inside of my tyres then? Full set of 4 PE2's only last a maximum of 18,000 miles as it is.

No there not needed just get the tracking done once theyve been fitted aftera few weeks. Most people would say your doing well to get 18,000 out of a set of PE2's on the front.

No point what so ever unless you're putting the car into a position where the extra camber would be useful. Just dropping some height out of it won't make that much of a difference to the camber that you'll need to adjust anything.

So, from what im hearing, I dont need the bolts?

Im about to put on my H&R's and the car itself will not be used on track at all.

hmm?
