CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO TELL IF MY SHOCK'S BOLT SPACING IS 54 OR 52MM!!

This is really annoying me now, i need to oder the shocks and get them put on within 10 days (mot failed), but im not sure what bolt spacing i should be going for! dont really want to take the whole thing apart just to messure, surely theres another way to find out?

my car is a clio mark 1 phase 3, and has the lucas brakes on the front swivel hubs, not the bendix ones...

PLEASE HELP!

You shouldnt need to take the whole car apart, all you need to do is whip the wheel off and measure precisly with a ruler the distance between the centre of the 2 bolts holding the hub to the strut. You can do it without taking the wheels off if you have small hands and big alloy wheels.

thankyou. i found that just after i posted this thread... i went for the 52mm's

Just watch them be to opposite now lol, they should be 52mm but who knows with renault.
