Cat Back System on 172 pipe size

Whats the pipe size on the standard mid section? Is it 2" inch?

I had a custom mid section done. but the pipe work is 1 7/8 " instead of 2"

would it affect the performance?

Ive notice the low end pick up and throttle response is better, but mid to top end, from 4-7k rpm it revs up slower than before, is it because of smaller diameter pipe?

is it good or bad, should I get them to redo the pipe work in 2"??

probably 2 inch bore all the way through.

Yes the smaller pipe would affect the performance as you have noticed. It helps lower down due to lessening the scavenging of the cylinder but it restricts top end power due to increase back pressure.

Its up to you wether or not you get it re-done. If you preffered it as it was then yeah get it sorted.
