Changing Needelse And Its All Gone Wrong! HELP!!

Right today i decided to under-go the simple task of changing my needles from the red ones to the white ones...
I took pictures of the needles before i took them off to line the new ones up with, all going smoothly so far.
Put everything back together and turned the engine on and it was all fine.

However, it was when i turned the engine off that i noticed the needles had gone way too far down. so i turned the key and the needles went up but no way near as much...
So i now have all my needles as far down as they will go and they wont move from there!

What have i done wrong?

are they catching on the dials that you read the speed from?

I dont think so because they can freely move.

what you have done is prob put them back on in the wrong possition or the needles moved

No no, they move.

Its when you turn the ignition off.
The needles would normally go down to "0" (the bottom) but now they go below that and keep getting lower every time i turn the engine back off.
Its hard to explain.

They usually go lower than 0 then move back up after a second, sounds like they don't know where they're supposed to move to.
