Another weekend another update 
Got an exhaust sorted thanks to Toomer89, good to see you again mate. It's a Scorpion RS192 from the group buys, only covered something like 300 miles. looks brand new
Will get it fitted after im back from skiing in March with a service.
Also last week i got hold of a Battery cover and a Alloy foot plate from MAD. Then mid week i covered the A pillars in faux suede. Will use the off cuts to make a gear gaiter like i had on my old RB.

Spent this morning helping Fletcher with some bits on his 172. Waited for TimR26 to turn up and went for a blast round the FletchRing. Sadly got a chip in the windscreen 
Also the exhaust is really starting to sound bad. As it needs a service this month i will get it booked in with Rentech and get mike to fit the scorpion.

Oh well we cant bubble wrap cars and use them for what they where built for sadly As this photo shows !
Chipped quite bad in places. Hopefully can whip it off and sand/polish it up, will probably sell it and get a Skoda one on there tbh. The PB needs a couple of other bits and pieces that need tidying up after i return from skiing. The other thing iv come to notice, especially after the blast on Saturday, is how long it takes to get up to around 5k RPM. Can be sat in 3rd for what seems like an age until it fully opens up. What I'm now thinking is taking the car (next month) to Dan at SJM and get the exhaust fitted along with a Remap and for him to check the timing and service it.
Ever since waxing and getting the paint to a decent level washing the car has been a piece of cake All that's needed now is to spray the car then apply some squirts of Auto Finesse's Citrus Power then blast it off and it comes up lovely.

Looks good that buddy. I can have a go with the splitter if you want. Could need re laquering.

No massive updates with the exhaust sadly After having a fiasco with my card the day before i went on holiday im rather quite poor ! Will have to wait till next month to sort a service and fit the scorpion. Want Mike to look at a couple of other bits as well. Have fitted a revised bonnet catch as Fletcher had one lying about.
Before the trip to wales next weekend i took my camera in for a service, picked it up this evening and wanted to test it out.

So last weekend a few of us headed up to Wales for a driving weekend. Had an amazing time there and got to do some serious miles with the car. It preformed well with no problems to report other than the exhaust which was getting replaced as soon as i got back. Then today i got the car back from Rentech with the new Scorpion RS192 and also the Ph1 gear stick fitted. Mike had all but finished fitting the exhaust and came to the cat and noticed it had split down one side of the fixings ! Some cowboy had kept it held together with washers and bolts one side and a cat fitting kit the other ! Got hold of a de-cat for the scorpion for the time being i needed a solution asap.
Got to give it a good clean soon as its not been touched since Wales. Also this week il be ordering some bits and bobs for it, badges, mats, clean plates........

Gave the Clio a full days worth of detailing and waxing today (about 6 hour's). Every time i clean it though i notice new scratches and marks over the paint At least from a distance it looks clean.
Got hold of a 'Clio' badge from the scrap yard so got rid of the 200 style RS badge, just waiting for payday to put in a large order of bits and bobs to sort the car out.

Clio 2 Ph1 172 Sport
awesome colour in clio and very well job paint detailing .
Got hold of another 182 inlet so have quickly painted that one up in black as i had some left over and painted the engine cover in Rover amethyst. Will get the other inlet Powder coated silver.

Got hold of a 182 cat so that's going on asap ! The noise is too much and the smell is so bad i had a headache for 3 days after Castle Combe !

Have ordered a load of bits today for the car that will be going on in the coming weeks.
Bits have been turning up all week, some other bits are still to come. Fitted the new plates and also the 197 style 'RS' badge. Also got a set of RS mats to tidy the interior up. Got to say im really enjoying the car at the moment. There isn't much more that i want to do to it now other than making sure it running healthy power. Been thinking of a remap and check over by Dan at SJM for a while now so after Le Mans il book it in Picking up another set of 182 alloys at the weekend, will be picking put the best of the bunch to make a nice set and the others will be getting some new AD08r's and will do as track/roadtrip tyres. Will be booking Llandow some point in the future.

It's funny how much of a difference such a small change can make - the front plate now looks 'right' whereas before it looked comically big! Good work chap
