Looks good mate , something a bit different from the norm . Probably just a matter of time though before plod decides otherwise :(

my cousin is married to a traffic officer and he informs me it's a £30 fine if they can be bothered, and very worse case scenario dvla can seize your registration but you can just apply for a personal plate. most plates with football crests and car logos on are illegal too.

i bet 90% of plates on the street today are illegal, it's purely down to plod discretion... Mine is illegal due to spacings but had no problems so far. Just hate the yellow/white plates on a red clio with dark wheels and dark tints...

*edit* cheers mate! ^^

Look good on Black Gold, used to have them on my old GTi just for shows, but you will eventually get hassle with them.

Ok cool - would carrying the std plates in the car help matters at all ?
worth a try,i keep mine in the boot so could always say i have been to a meet or show and forgot to swap back should i get pulled, nothing to lose by trying!:S

just make you look more guilty if you had them in the car, but you could argue you'd been to a show and not had time to change them.

edit: i always get beaten to a response :clown:

I think you would have to get a fairly board cop to ticket you, unless they are training new recruits.

I know two cops that have incorrect spaced number plates! Which kinda makes you think its not that important on there list of things to do.

Personally I think that as long as they are clear and you can easily read them then you will probably be ok (no italics and rubbish like that). But dont quote me on that :S

Oh yeah, nearly forgot....

I personally like the black / silver plates, look kinda cool.

Not sure about the strips though. Was thinking about something similar, but not sure now though.

went for the stripes as had them on blue cup and thought it looked a bit more agressive in someones mirror, are good in reality although not really happy how they did the boot as its not same positioning as the official stripes
