Cleaning alloys - hardcore track pads!!

  Weeman sucks ****
I fitted some carbone lorraine pads not long ago, i knew they would make some dust from the warnings in here. I used half a bottle of megs wheel cleaner last night. Got a lot off but still got a bit of ground in dust.

Is there anyway of getting this off? Will persistance and effort work? The wheels aren't great anyway so it's not the end of the world.

I do need to spend a bit of time though.

ring yoz and ask him for some special wheel cleaner, job done (he cleans his wheels once a year, and they look new everytime)

I think my CLs have f**ked the alloys for good! I used Wonder Wheels and Megs wheel cleaner to little effect! Worth washing the sides of the car regularly too as the dust sticks to that too!

Doesnt bother me though tbh, I'll just refurb the wheels eventually. And the brakes are worth it! :D

i'll take the fcukers off next clean so i can attack them. as dhampton said, will get a refurb at some point.

  Nippy white cup
Thats what I did in the end Chris. Black wheels are great but with the car now being white I'm going to have to keep an eye on the side of the car now :(

When you do clean them buy some wheel sealent and apply 2/3 coats. Makes cleaning them so much easier
