Does anybody know if uprated engine mounts are availiable for the clio 16v and if so where can i get them from.

Does anybody know if uprated engine mounts are availiable for the clio 16v and if so where can i get them from.

Becuase the standard ones are always crap. ie the engine moves so much between gear changes that it bangs, iv replaced the bottom mount and the gearbox mount and still bangs.
you can also get a mount from the R19, which bolts to the gearbox and subframe, stops alot of movement

I have got a renault 19 that i am breaking and had thought of this idea but didn,t think it would fit. have you done this your self? so i now before starting as im going to le mans on wednesday need car to be right.

A couple of members on here have done this extra mount, one of them being Nick Read, the guy with the valver turbo, so it sounds like it fits.
Ive looked at my subframe and the holes for where it bolts through are there also.
Doubt it would take very long to fit it either, 30 minutes max?
I will be getting this mount for mine when ive got a bit of spare cash
