Clio 172 Backbox

Hi

I guess the clio 172 back box must have fallen in prices....just had a standard (albeit non-OE) one fitted for £47 + vat......the only difference is that it is a little more boomy at idle but under throttle sounds fine....

I'am I right in thinking Renault wanted £570? Its a bit smaller also, so you cant see any exhaust at all now, not a bit!

PS - I do get staff discount, most would pay around £80 which is still good

Where did you get it from? Have heard issues with a few copies causing a nice loss in power.

prob better getting a stainless system in the long run.....

I will give it a good drive tonight and feel if it has lost any power.....as long as economy is not effected I am not too bothered as I may sell it soon...and a new back box is always a good selling point..

no - power feels unchanged....it was an Arvin one which is OE anyhow..
