Fitted some new mats too, think they look well, however £60 for mats is steep!

Had a visitor too. Not my cat, but friendly enough so he chills with me.

I just use the forums plugin for photos, I'll try and avoid 3rd party hosting sites!

Wheel speacilist in Burton, £200 and he removed and fitted tyres. If you can get tyres off I know someone who'll do it for £150!

Looking good. Is that the pms arb? How does the forum photo thing work?

Looks great!

The side strips are supposed to be a sort of matt effect on the Cups mate!

I was talking about this yesterday oddly enough. I wonder why Renault did this? On the dash strips and clock bezel too.

Surely not for weight saving as I can't imaging adding the same paint and lacquer to them like the rest of the would make any difference.

When you reply in the comments box, click the "upload a image" box. This will give you the options to upload a image on your device, whether it's from the camera, a downloaded picture you've saved or in Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. I'm not sure how your folders are set but you click the folder, then click the picture.

Once you've chosen the pic, it will upload it and then you have the option to have it as a attachment or full size.

I believe you can only do 10 at a time with a max of 20mb of data per pic.

Shifter is mint! That and the steering wheel make the cockpit feel ace, I don't even mind the less-than-supportive seats!

People mention vibratio too? But it's not bad.

Did notice a knocking when pulling off after a test drive....gearbox mount! I've stuck an vibra mount, but the two nuts securing it to battery tray where absolutely shagged! Wouldn't tighten! New nuts and it's good again.

I'm swapping dashs tommorow for a standard cup one, and fitting a far better condition bonnet.

Next job is to remove inlet and throttle body, get the crappy paint removed and refit. Want to give a proper scrub and take photos too!

Look forward to seeing it with the new dash, never been a massive fan of flocking! Love my PMS shifter such a great mod, you can get round the extra noise it makes because of how good it is

Swapped dash tonight with a mate up road

Love it more now!

He breaks cars so I swapped my inlet and throttle body for his plus cash, and then I fitted my brace

Next job is to spend a day cleaning car properly, fit my powerflex engine mount (mates been stripping paint from the plate), fit centre caps.

It's the little things that make it! In keeping with the theme of simplicity, I've removed the stereo remote and fitted a Renault blank. Fitted a connects 2 too, which will have a Bluetooth aux adapter hard wired in.

When I was at Renault, I asked if they could sell me a bag that the 1l bottles of oil go in. He just gave me one for free, nice one!

Was messing around earlier and was gonna try Coops_turbo's unsilenced ktec mid pipe....turns out I haven't got a ktec, it's a supersprint, which is now for sale! (Want a PMS)

That's a nice touch with the remote, kind of suits the cup tbh?

I did smile at the keyring, exactly the same one I have, never seen anyone else with one!

Anti mod today....bought a standard cat back and fitted it, now selling the supersprint that was on it. You may ask "why?!", but my thought process was:

. I'm too old for low rpm zorst warble
. Still got decat fitted so it's still loud.
. Rather use the money to useful mods (selling this pays for 197 cams, 182 manifold and a decat link pipe)
. You couldn't see tip anyway so it looks no different.
. More OEM this way.

Second hand dogbone no longer has any bushes. Bought some black powerflex ones to go in, as all other bushes on car are black powerflex! Already got a purple dogbone which will be going up for sale shortly.

I've got a 182 manifold and decat link pipe to fit, then I may put it away for a bit, remove inlet, throttle body, engine mount bracket and whatever else I can for cleaning/blasting. Would like a set of 197 cams and a remap to finish it off.

Tempted by a set of 2118's in anthracite.....cups look brilliant on them.

Just been searching through the forums and stumbled across this thread...

I bought this car about a month ago, so it's interesting to see the history. The car has now been returned further back to stock with the exception of the suspension upgrades. Plans for the car are to keep it OEM+, replace any missing bits (undertrays / arch liners etc...) and generally maintain the car to keep it a good example. The car will only be a weekend toy, so that shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Here are some photos of the car now for anyone that's interested...
